Nur is a one-year-old baby boy residing in the slums of Narayanganj. He is dearly cherished by his parents, with his father being the sole breadwinner. Recently, Nur was diagnosed with Severe Pneumonia, causing immense concern for his parents. However, their attempts to seek treatment at a government hospital were thwarted by shortages of medicines and long queues. Feeling helpless, they stumbled upon a poster detailing Helpster and Narayanganj Polyclinic's collaboration. Upon contacting Dr. Munna, they were promptly advised to bring Nur to the hospital. Helpster Charity swiftly approved the urgent case, providing hope to the family, who now rely on the generosity of Helpster donors to cover the treatment costs.

Nur, a baby boy just over 1 year and 4 months old, was suffering from Severe Pneumonia. Despite multiple rounds of antibiotics from the local pharmacy, his condition continued to worsen. Nur's family couldn't cover the treatment. Nur required emergency hospitalization. Nur received oxygen therapy, nebulization treatments with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, as well as injectable antibiotics and hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition. Thankfully, he is now doing well and back home, bringing joy to his parents. Nur's parents are delighted to have him safe and sound. Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications.
