Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Joseph is a 16 y.o. old boy who would like to be an engineer when he grows up. He hasn’t decided yet what sort of engineer he would like to be. He lives with his father and 3 siblings in a 2-roomed house in their ancestral home. They live with his uncles in the ancestral home, a total of 4 households in the home. The households share a toilet and use rainwater during the rainy seasons and a protected spring during the dry seasons. At times the spring runs dry and they have to buy water from water vendors. He has 1 older sibling and 2 younger siblings. He enjoys playing football whenever he is not in school or not studying.
Medical history
Patient was quickly rushed to the emergency room when he arrived, bleeding was arrested, the cut wound was assessed then cleaned and sutured under local anesthesia. The father, who was unaware of where he was going to get money for his son's treatment, reported that he brought Joseph to hospital and was later going to inform the hospital administration that he was unable to pay for the hospital bills. He had initially tried to do some first aid at home but realized that the cut wound was a little too big to be addressed at home. Joseph and his dad were grateful to Helpster Charity since the cut wound was sutured and Joseph was also able to get medication.
Prognosis
The patient was brought to the hospital with a bleeding cut wound, in acute pain, with high temperature, high pulse. The patient needs immediate actions to prevent further bleeding and sepsis.
