Denzel resides with his grandmother and siblings, as his mother left to seek work in another town. He attends school and aspires to pursue education up to the university level. Denzel enjoys playing and watching football. However, three days ago, Denzel's health took a turn for the worse as he developed a productive cough, chest pain, and difficulty breathing. His mother attempted to alleviate his symptoms with a herbal concoction, but his condition deteriorated, accompanied by a high-grade fever. Concerned for his well-being, he was promptly brought to the hospital while appearing quite ill.

The child was managed with antimalarial antibiotics analgesics and haematinics , the child showed great improvement and he was then sent home to continue with medications we reviewed the child after 3 days of oral treatment and he was doing well

It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences. Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications.
