She was reviewed 5 days after discharge and she did not have any more pain. A repeat urinalysis was done and there were no signs of infection in her urine.

The infection should be treated immediately, since it may spread onto kidneys, if left untreated. It will also keep causing pain and discomfort if the treatment is not received.
