Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Hussain, an eleven-year-old residing in Dhaka city with his mother and brother, lacks support from his father. Despite this, he harbors aspirations of becoming a doctor in the future. Hussain's mother, Hazera, shoulders the financial responsibilities as the sole earner in their family, working as a maid servant. However, his father's contributions for family maintenance are minimal. Hazera diligently works an average of 25 days per month, earning around $60. However, a significant portion is allocated towards house rent. For the past seven months, Hussain has been grappling with swelling, a sore throat, difficulty in eating and drinking, and shortness of breath. Despite multiple visits to government hospitals, they were unable to secure treatment. Turning to Dhaka Community Hospital, Hussain was diagnosed with Bilateral Chronic Tonsillitis, necessitating tonsillectomy. Unfortunately, the family lacks the financial means to cover the surgery costs. Hazera, Hussain's mother, implores Helpster Donors to support her son in this critical time.

Prognosis
Enlarged tonsils can trap bacteria and viruses, leading to recurrent throat and ear infections. These infections can cause discomfort, pain, and may require repeated courses of antibiotics. An adenotonsillectomy is a medical procedure in which both the adenoids and tonsils are surgically removed. The adenoids are small glands located at the back of the throat, while the tonsils are situated on either side of the throat.
