Marion N., 13

Marion lives in a children's orphanage with other children and their guardians. She enjoys playing football, swinging on swings and monkey bars, and singing. Her favorite treats are juice and chapati, an unleavened flatbread. Marion aspires to become a pastor in the future. Recently, Marion was brought to the hospital by her guardian. She had been experiencing a throbbing headache, intermittent fevers, pain while swallowing, and itchy rashes on her skin for the past week. Initially, the swallowing pain occurred only with solid foods, but now she feels pain even when drinking liquids.

Marion was diagnosed with tonsillitis and mycosis. She was treated in the outpatient department with antibiotics, antipyretics and antifungal drugs. Three weeks later Marion,s guardian brought her for check up which shows a an incredible recovery, she was very happy and thankful to Helpster Charity for considering their request in treatment of their daughter. Marion is now happy and stronger again to continue with her normal daily activities without any pain or discomfort.

An adenotonsillectomy is a medical procedure in which both the adenoids and tonsils are surgically removed. The adenoids are small glands located at the back of the throat, while the tonsils are situated on either side of the throat.
