Rachel came to the hospital complaining of the itchiness in her eye, and a feeling that something small is present in the eye that she can't remove. The doctor's review confirmed the presence of the foreign body, as well as the infection called uveitis. Uveitis is an inflammation of the uvea, the middle layer of the eye that consists of the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. In the process of examination of the eye that was not affected by the foreign body, it was discovered that Rachel also has a Refractive error - a problem with the way light rays are focused inside the eye, leading to blurred vision.

Background
Rachel lives with her mother and brother and is a passionate music enthusiast, especially fond of Jamaican rhythms and Arbantone music. She aspires to become a journalist after graduation. During holidays, she assists her mother with house chores such as cooking, washing dishes, and mopping the floor. Recently, Rachel began experiencing teary eyes at school. Her eyes would turn red and swell. Although the school nurse provided some relief, the symptoms persisted. Additionally, she felt a sensation as if there was a foreign body in her eye and mentioned experiencing a traumatic incident some time ago.
Medical history
Patient complained of poor distance vision , light sensitivity and tearing eyes that has been longwithstanding.She was diagnosed with astigmatic myopia on both eyes, she was given management for this condition with spectacle glasses of power -0.25/-x180 OD, -0.25/0.25X180 OS BLUEBLOCK TRANS
Prognosis
Rachel needs a removal of the foreign body from her eye, and a course of antibiotics to prevent the further development of the infection. Uveitis can lead to swelling and damage of eye tissues, which may result in vision loss if not treated properly. The refractive error with which Rachel was also diagnosed can be corrected with prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery such as LASIK.
