Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Gloria lives with her parents and grandparent. She is quite active and also very happy and jovial. She likes to spend time with her siblings. Gloria loves eating smokies, crispy potatoes and cakes. She would like to be a medical doctor when she grows up. She was brought to the hospital complaining of persistent joint pains and chest pains. She has been on medication for rheumatoid fever for the past few months, on a monthly basis, but missed her medication last month and this month due to lack of funds to purchase some. As Gloria's pain worsened, his father who is a casual labourer ran up and down looking for extra casual jobs to get some wages to purchase the medication but still was unable to raise the total amount that was required to purchase the medication. Gloria's mother could not stand the pain that her grandchild was going through and went to the area chief(administrative officer) to ask for help and it was then that they were informed about Helpster Charity.

Prognosis

Rheumatic fever can result in long-term complications, especially if it affects the heart. The most serious complication is rheumatic heart disease, which can cause permanent damage to the heart valves, leading to heart failure and other cardiac issues. Early diagnosis and treatment with antibiotics are essential to prevent the progression of the disease and its serious complications. Long-term management may include anti-inflammatory medications and prophylactic antibiotics to prevent recurrence.
