Human malaria causes symptoms that typically include fever or hotness of the body, vomiting, diarrhea ,headaches and upper respiratory tract infection is an illness caused by an acute infection, which involves the upper respiratory tract, including the nose, sinuses, pharynx, larynx or trachea and both malaria and upper respiratory tract infection can lead to malnutrition.

Background
Lenzer lives with her mother and her grandmother. Lenzer's mother is still a student at secondary school level so they financially depend on their grandmother who is a small scale farmer in the village. For the past 4 days Lenzer has been experiencing hotness of the body and vomiting after oral intake. They had gone to the nearby clinic when the symptoms begun, where she was treated but symptoms did not improve much. Lenzer's grandmother reports that they also did not have enough money to purchase the medication. Lenzer's symptoms worsened and a friend to Lenzer's mother told them about Helpster Charity and that Helpster Charity was offering assistance through Bokoli Subcounty Hospital, and it was then that Lenzer was brought to this hospital.
Medical history
For the past 4 days, prior to coming to the hospital, Lenzer had been experiencing hotness of the body and vomiting after oral intake. They had gone to the nearby clinic when the symptoms begun, where she was treated but symptoms did not improve much. Lenzer's grandmother reports that they also did not have enough money to purchase the medication. Lenzer was brought to Bokoli Subcounty Hospital where she was diagnosed with upper respiratory tract infection, Moderate acute malnutrition and malaria. After treatment Lenzer's health improved and she was discharged in a stable condition.
Prognosis
Lenzer was diagnosed and treated appropriately before the disease progressed. The prognosis is good
