Manuel lives with his parents and siblings in the village. His father is a peasant farmer and his mother is a housewife. Manuel would like to be a doctor in future and takes his studies very seriously. When not studying, Manue can be found reading novels and magazines. He also enjoys spending time with his friends. He is a very humble boy and quite focused too. He presented to the hospital with diarrhoea, vomiting and on and off fever. During one of the fever episodes, he had a convulsion that lasted for a few seconds. Symptoms were associated with loss of appetite and restlessness. He was rushed to the hospital where he was seen by the doctor and put on the necessary medication.

Manuel had been experiencing diarrhea and vomiting for the past two days and was previously diagnosed with febrile convulsions secondary to severe malaria. He was admitted for further evaluation, but his condition showed no improvement and he remained restless. A malaria blood test done two days ago came back positive. On the date of admission, Manuel presented with diarrhea, loss of appetite, headache, and vomiting. He was diagnosed with malaria and gastroenteritis. Thanks to the support of Helpster Charity, he received treatment and medication that stabilized his condition. Manuel was happy and grateful for the excellent care he received. A follow up phone call was done 3 days after discharge and it was confirmed that Manuel is now doing well

The prognosis is good. The illness was diagnosed and appropriate treatment given before Manuel got any complications.
