Goldline lives with her parents. Her parents do not have any stable source of income.Fortune depends on her paternal grandmother who has one dairy cow that she milks and sells milk to get some money. Goldline, currently in grade 2, would like to be a teacher when she grows up, but would also like to practice farming. She has had diarrhea and vomiting, also had a high grade fever for the past 4 days. 2 days ago she also begun complaining of headache, dizziness, poor appetite with persistent vomiting, unable to retain any meals that she eats. On her way to being brought to the hospital, she suffered 2 episodes of convulsions and had to be rushed to the emergency section of the hospital upon arrival at the hospital.
Medical history
Goldline had diarrhea and vomiting, also had a high grade fever for 4 days before she was brought to the hospital. 2 days ago she also begun complaining of headache, dizziness, poor appetite with persistent vomiting, unable to retain any meals that she eats. On her way to being brought to the hospital, she suffered 2 episodes of convulsions and had to be rushed to the emergency section of the hospital upon arrival at the hospital. The immediate thing was to control her convulsions and prevent any further convulsions and this was done. She was later examined well, taken to the laboratory for investigations and treated as an inpatient for severe malaria. She was discharged home to proceed with oral medication and a review confirmed that she was doing well
Prognosis
She will progress well because the illness was diagnosed before it caused further complications.
