Background
Lucky was was living happily with her husband, Mohammad and her sonns Mohammad and Raiyan. Her husband works as a van driver. Lucky became pregnant 38 weeks back but there was lots of tension and anxiety because of their poverty. Lucky complains of Severe abdominal pain with per vaginal watery discharge and less fetal movement. They went to a nearby government hospital but there was a lack of doctors to attend the patient and emergency operation were not performed there. Medical history
Lucky was 38 weeks pregnant when she suddenly experienced severe abdominal pain, indicating the onset of labor, accompanied by watery vaginal discharge and decreased fetal movement. Having had two previous cesarean sections, she was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic, where an emergency cesarean section was performed successfully under spinal anesthesia, resulting in the delivery of a healthy baby girl. Following the operation, she received conservative treatment and began to recover well. Now, Lucky is thriving and has returned to her normal life, her joyful smile reflecting her relief and happiness. Prognosis
In cases of fetal distress, timely intervention, often including a Caesarean section, is crucial to ensure the safety and health of both the baby and the mother. Without such intervention, the risks of severe and potentially life-threatening complications increase significantly. Prolonged labor can exacerbate fetal distress, and cause such complications as organ damage in the baby due to the lack of oxygen, stillbirth, and the risk of infection. In cases of severe distress where contractions are strong and prolonged, the mother's uterus may rupture, leading to severe blood loss and risk to both mother and baby.
