Background
Sandra lives with her parents, two siblings and a cousin. Her father is a boda boda rider on a rented motorcycle. The family lives in their ancestral home with 4 households and 2 pit latrines. Medical history
Sandra came to the hospital with symptoms of abdominal pain and crying whenever she passed urine. After laboratory tests and confirmation of diagnosis, Sandra was put on medication which she responded well to and now she is back to normal health again. Sandra's parents were really thankful for the money they received to help with their child's treatment. They had been very worried because they couldn't afford the medicine, but after getting the help, they left the hospital with big smiles on their faces.
Prognosis
Sandra was presented to Bokoli Subcounty Hospital with low abdominal pain and difficulty with passing urine. The patient was diagnosed with urinary tract infection. If not treated, the pain and discomfort will persist, and the infection may lead to kidney damage.
