Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology
Fetal distress occurs when the fetus shows signs of not getting enough oxygen during labor or delivery. A Caesarean section may be necessary in cases of fetal distress to quickly deliver the baby and reduce the risk of complications.

Background
Shilpi resides with her husband and parents-in-law, with her husband being the sole provider working at a garment factory. At 38 weeks pregnant, she experienced severe abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding. A home attempt at a normal vaginal delivery was unsuccessful in progressing labor. Seeking help at a nearby government hospital, they encountered a shortage of doctors and were unable to receive emergency treatment. Fortunately, their neighbor informed them about Helpster and Narayanganj Polyclinic as potential options for medical assistance.
Medical history
At 38 weeks pregnant, Shilpi's anticipation turned to dread when she suddenly experienced excruciating abdominal pain and alarming vaginal bleeding. Her family raced her to Narayanganj Poly Clinic, where the gravity of the situation set in. Though she had hoped for a normal vaginal delivery at home, labor refused to progress, and the urgency for an emergency cesarean section became clear. Under the bright surgical lights and with her heart pounding, Shilpi underwent the procedure, and to her immense relief, a healthy baby boy emerged, crying out in the world. As she recovered, enveloped in the warmth of compassionate care, the fear slowly faded, replaced by the incredible joy of new life. Now, a radiant smile lights up her face as she cradles her son, whispering her gratitude to the amazing team that turned her fraught journey into a beautiful beginning.
Prognosis
In cases of fetal distress, timely intervention, often including a Caesarean section, is crucial to ensure the safety and health of both the baby and the mother. Without such intervention, the risks of severe and potentially life-threatening complications increase significantly. Prolonged labor can exacerbate fetal distress, and cause such complications as organ damage in the baby due to the lack of oxygen, stillbirth, and the risk of infection. In cases of severe distress where contractions are strong and prolonged, the mother's uterus may rupture, leading to severe blood loss and risk to both mother and baby.
