Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Lawal was diagnosed with Malaria, Upper Respiratory Tract Infection and Sepsis. Severe malaria occurs when infections are complicated by serious organ failures or abnormalities in the patient's blood or metabolism. Upper Respiratory Tract Infections primarily affect the upper part of the respiratory system, which includes the nose, throat, and sometimes the sinuses and ears. Common URTIs include: Common cold, leading to symptoms like a runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, coughing, sneezing, and sometimes a low-grade fever. Sinusitis: Inflammation of the sinus cavities, often associated with nasal congestion, facial pain or pressure, and thick nasal discharge. Pharyngitis (sore throat), or otitis media: an ear infection that can cause ear pain, fluid drainage from the ear, and hearing problems.

Background
Lawal Ridwan is a fifteen-year-old boy who attends secondary school. He lives with his parents and four siblings. He enjoys playing soccer and reading. His father works as a bike man, and his mother is a trader. Their monthly income of thirty thousand is mostly used to feed the family. They live in a two-room home. Lawal dreams of becoming an engineer. He was apparently well until one month ago when he developed severe malaria with sepsis, associated with a urinary tract infection. His parents couldn't afford the necessary treatment for him. Upon presentation at our facility, he was examined, investigated, and diagnosed with sepsis and a urinary tract infection. He needs urgent treatment upon Helpster's approval.
Medical history
Lawal Ridwan was discharged and place on oral medications. He is fine now doing well in school and helping his parent in house choice.
Prognosis
Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences. If an upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is not treated, it can weaken the immune system and the body's natural defenses. This can make it easier for other infections, such as bacterial sinusitis or ear infections, to develop as secondary complications. If the URTI is caused by a contagious virus (e.g., the common cold or influenza), untreated individuals can continue to spread the infection to others, potentially leading to outbreaks in close-contact settings like schools or workplaces.
