Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Faisat is an 11-year-old girl living with her parents in a two-bedroom apartment with three siblings. The mother is a petty trader, and the father is a farmer with a monthly income of less than 14,000, which is meant for them to sustain. She was well, had great vision, and could see clearly until three years ago when she developed this inability to see objects from a distance. She had been examined before now, but due to lack of funds, she was unable to commence treatment because the parents could not afford the treatment. On presentation at our facility, she was examined, investigated, and diagnosed to have Myopia associated with redness of the eye, occasional itching, and photophobia. She requires medical treatment upon Helpster's approval.

Medical history

She was dragonized of Myopia associated with redness of the eye, occasional itching and photophobia. She was treated and given some eye drop and a recommended lens for her day-to-day activities. She can now see compared to as at presentation. The mother came back to say thank you to Helpster for coming through.

Prognosis

Patients with early onset and high myopia have a worse prognosis for long term visual acuity. These patients tend to have a higher rate of myopic progression with longer axial lengths. Patients with longer axial lengths are at a greater risk for developing myopic retinal degeneration and other associated pathology.
