Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Medical history

Ramatu is a kind and bright young girl who spends her days lost in books, dreaming of one day becoming a nurse so she can care for others. But her world turned upside down when she was suddenly struck by excruciating abdominal pain - so severe it left her vomiting, unable to sleep, and barely able to walk. When she arrived at the gynecology emergency ward, doctors found her weak, dehydrated, and in agonizing pain, with tenderness in her right iliac fossa. Tests confirmed a twisted complex ovarian cyst - a dangerous condition where a fluid-filled sac on her ovary had twisted, cutting off blood flow. Without immediate surgery, the pain would worsen, risking permanent damage. The operation was a success. Within hours, Ramatu’s pain eased, and she could finally rest. By the next day, she was sitting up, smiling again - her dream of becoming a nurse still alive.
