Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Keren lives with her parents and siblings in a rural area. She enjoys playing football, watching cartoons, and cooking, with her favorite meal being chips and yogurt. Keren aspires to become a medical doctor in the future. Her mother works as a casual laborer, searching daily for jobs to earn a living. Some days she is successful, while other days she is not. Three days ago, Keren began experiencing vomiting, abdominal pains, and headaches, which have been getting progressively worse. Her mother did not have the money to take Keren to the hospital. A concerned neighbor noticed Keren's worsening condition and informed her mother about Helpster Charity. Thanks to this intervention, Keren was brought to the hospital for the necessary medical attention.

Medical history

Three days prior to being brought to the hospital, Keren started experiencing vomiting, abdominal pain, and headaches, which continued to worsen with time. Her mother, unable to afford medical care, kept her at home. Fortunately, a concerned neighbor who noticed Keren’s deteriorating condition informed her mother about Helpster Charity. With this support, Keren was taken to the hospital and received the medical attention she needed. After undergoing several tests, she was diagnosed with gastritis and started on appropriate treatment, to which she responded well. During a follow-up phone call, Keren expressed her joy and confirmed that she was feeling much better. She also extended her heartfelt thanks to Helpster Charity for the assistance.

Prognosis

Untreated gastritis can lead to erosion of the mucosal lining, increasing the risk of developing ulcers and even gastric bleeding, which poses a serious health risk.
