Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Nyahururu Town
Background
4yr old Daniel lives in the periurban slum houses of town with his parents. He likes playing with car toys and riding the bicycle or being carried on one. Daniel loves eating Smokies and drinking juice. He wants to be a pilot when he grows up. He was brought to the hospital with complaints of persistent cough, chest pain, running nose and difficulty in breathing which had lasted for 3 days. Daniel's mother was on her way to request her uncle for some money to take her son to the hospital when she came across the Helpster Charity posters. She immediately brought her child to Goodhope Nursing Home after seeing the posters.
Medical history
Daniel had been unwell for 3 days, he had a cough and with it came a sharp pain tucked into the lower left side of the chest, the kind that worsened with every deep breath. Alongside that, there was a slight fever and a runny nose, hinting at something more than just a common cold. Though not in visible distress when examined, a closer listen through the stethoscope revealed something concerning—reduced air entry in one lung and the faint crackle of fine crepitations. These subtle signs pointed to an underlying chest infection. Antibiotics were promptly prescribed, and the response was swift and encouraging. Just three days after being discharged, a follow-up phone call confirmed the good news: symptoms had cleared, and recovery was well on track.
Prognosis
Pneumonia prognosis is good if treated early. Pneumonia is treatable with antibiotics, if left untreated Daniel would be at great risk of developing lung abscess which can lead to respiratory collapse or even death
