Joel likes playing with car toys and watching cartoons. He loves eating crispy potatoes and cakes and wants to be a teacher in future. He was brought to the hospital with complains of abdominal pain, running nose, productive cough, chest pains, nasal congestion and headache. According to his mother, the symptoms begun 6 days ago and he has not received any medical attention yet. His parents are casual laborers with a small source of income from the daily wages, so they did not have any money to bring Joel to the hospital. His parents heard about Helpster Charity from the church and brought the child to hospital.

He was brought to the hospital with complains of abdominal pain, running nose, productive cough, chest pains, nasal congestion and headache. According to his mother, the symptoms begun 6 days prior to coming to the hospital and he had not received any medical attention yet. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and septicaemia. He also had coryza which the mother was advised to give the child alot of fruits to make him feel better. The pneumonia and septicaemia was treated with the ideal medication and Joel progressed well and got better. A check up on him a few days after found a playful boy running around the compound

Septicaemia prognosis is good when treated early with antibiotics. Strong antibiotics can clear the infections . If left untreated Joel would be at risk of developing tissues damage and brain problems.
