When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Caleb is a 10 y.o. boy who lives in extreme poverty - none of the family members has a permanent work, they live in a house with no electricity or canalisation, and on some days they are not able to provide themselves with food. His mother suffers from mental health issues, and is unable to work, while his father finds one-time jobs every one and then, in attempts to feed the family.
Medical history
Caleb had repeated episodes of diarrhoea and vomiting for the past 3 days prior to his admission. He came to the hospital looking quite dehydrated and was immediately put on fluids to ensure his kidneys do not shut down due to the severe dehydration. His kidneys tests were done and it was confirmed that these were functioning well. Caleb's mother danced for joy when his child was being discharged. She had tried everything at home to improve the condition of the child because she was sure she wasn't able to afford the medical bill.
Prognosis
Caleb was presented to the hospital with several episodes of diarrhea and vomiting. He was diagnosed with gastroenteritis and severe dehydration. The patient has to be treated urgently to prevent a kidney shut down due to excessive loss of fluids and electrolytes from the body.
