Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Pneumonia is an infection in the lungs caused by bacteria, viruses or fungi. Pneumonia causes the lung tissue to swell (inflammation) and can cause fluid or pus in the lungs. Bacterial pneumonia is usually more severe than viral pneumonia, which often resolves on its own. Pneumonia can affect one or both lungs. For septic wounds, if a bacteria or other pathogens enter a wound, an infection occurs. Symptoms or signs of wound infection include increasing pain, swelling, and redness. Sepsis is an extreme response to an infection whereby the body sends a flood of chemicals into the bloodstream to fight the threat.

Background
The child is a fourth born in a family of six siblings. The parents are casual laborers. Brian is in grade five at a local school, where he is part of the school football club. He looks forward to being a doctor in the future and a professional footballer. For the past seven days, Brian has been experiencing cough, fever, sweating and rigors and chills. He has also been having sharp stabbing chest pain that gets worse when he breathes deeply or coughs. On physical examination, wounds of the lower limbs were observed. He has been brought to the hospital with a concerned teacher, accompanied by the mother.
Medical history
Brian suffered from pneumonia and septic wounds. He was 4 days in the hospital receiving treatment with antibiotics, and the wounds being cleaned daily to enhance healing. Acall was made to the mother and she reported that Brian is now back to his normal life and enjoys play time with his classmates. Back at home, he is able to help with house chores and errands. The mother appreciates having been recognised among the first people to receive treatment through Helpster. She is really looking forward to meet one of the Helpster team, one day if God allows
Prognosis
The prognosis is good as the patient can be managed at our facility, be restored to his physical health and thus continue with his studies at school. If left untreated, the infection can be life-threatening to the boy and we may end up losing the ppatient.
