Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Shantel is a 13-year-old girl living in a children's home in Utawala, Nairobi. As an orphan, she depends entirely on the support of well-wishers who help sustain the home. She enjoys singing and going on nature walks. The matron hopes to see Shantel succeed academically and fulfill her dream of becoming a pilot. A day before being brought to the hospital, Shantel began experiencing frequent diarrhea, fever, and a lack of appetite. Her condition left her feeling extremely weak, and she was unable to attend school or eat anything due to her discomfort.

Medical history

Shantel Wanjiku, 13 years old, from New Beginning Children's Home, was diagnosed with Amoebiasis by the medical officer in charge at Rheemah Hospital. She received appropriate treatment and made a full recovery. Helpster Charity generously covered all medical expenses, ensuring Shantel received the care she needed without delay. Thanks to the timely treatment, Shantel is now back to enjoying her love for singing and exploring nature. The entire home extends heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity for their unwavering support.
