Ibrahim is a very hardworking boy. He would like to get a good job once he is done with school so that he can financially assist his parents, who are casual laborer, to take care of themselves and their children. Ibrahim was the best footballer in his primary school and because of this, he got a scholarship to study for his secondary education at a local school. This was such a relief to his parents who would not have been able to afford the secondary education school fees. Brian came to the hospital with complains of headache, joint pains and abdominal pains for the past one week. He had bought some over the counter medication to relieve the pain in the past week but he only got worse. He heard about Helpster Charity from his teachers at school who saw him unwell and were concerned whey he had not gone to the hospital. When he told them that his parents did not have money to take him to the hospital, they informed him about Helpster Charity and were kind enough to bring him to the hospital to get the necessary treatment.

Ibrahim was diagnosed with gastritis, a condition that affects the stomach lining. He spent four days in the hospital receiving treatment, including antibiotics, acid blockers, and pain relievers. Now fully recovered, as confirmed when a follow up call was made to his mother, he is able to resume his studies.

Gastritis is manageable, by reducing the acid by an acid blocker and therefore the prognosis is good. If not treated, gastritis can lead to stomach bleeding, stomach ulcers or stomach cancer.
