Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Faruq Umar is a 9 year old boy who is highly spirited and energetic with a passion for playing ball. Faruq's favorite pastime was kicking around a worn-out soccer ball in the dusty streets of his neighborhood, imagining himself as a star player in a big stadium. Despite the challenges his family faced, Faruq's love for the game brought him endless joy and a sense of freedom

Medical history

Faruq, from a humble background, was struck by ARTI alongside malaria and enteric fever. His family, struggling to afford treatment, feared the worst. Thanks to timely medical care and the compassionate support of Helpster charity, Faruq gradually recovered. His parents are profoundly grateful. Their son’s healing brought light and hope into their lives during a very dark time.

Prognosis

The untreated ARTI led to severe respiratory distress, making it difficult for Faruq to breathe. Simultaneously, the malaria and enteric fever ravaged his young body. High, unrelenting fevers left him delirious and dehydrated. The malaria parasites attacked his red blood cells, leading to severe anemia and weakening his immune system. The enteric fever caused severe abdominal pain, persistent diarrhea, and dangerous levels of dehydration. Without immediate medical intervention, Faruq's condition became critical. His body, overwhelmed by the simultaneous attacks on his respiratory and immune systems, began to shut down. The lack of oxygen from the ARTI and the severe complications from malaria and enteric fever pushed him to the brink, leaving his life hanging by a thread.
