Hadiza Hassan is a 7-year-old girl living in a modest two-bedroom apartment with her parents. Though surrounded by the chatter of neighbors and the hum of daily life, Hadiza's days were marked by a distinct absence—she did not attend school. She spent her mornings helping her mother with household chores and her afternoons playing imaginative games with other children. Despite not having a formal education, Hadiza's curious mind and bright spirit thrived in the warmth of her family's home. Hadiza began complaining of a persistent fever and a runny nose that seemed unshakeable. Concern deepened when red rashes appeared around her arms and perineal region, causing discomfort and itchiness. Observing these symptoms intensify, her worried parents took her to a nearby chemist, where they bought some tablets. However, there was no improvement until her neighbor suggested she contact Helpster for help. On presentation, she was diagnosed with an Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ARTI), Malaria, and Candidiasis. She requires urgent medical care upon Helpster's approval.

Hadiza battled ARTI, malaria, and perineal candidiasis all at once, which made her very weak and uncomfortable. Her family struggled to afford the care she needed, but with the timely help of Helpster charity, Hadiza received the treatment that saved her life. Today, she is healthy again, and her family is deeply thankful for the support that brought hope back into their home.

If acute respiratory tract infection (ARTI) is left untreated, it can progress to severe pneumonia or bronchitis, leading to difficulty breathing and potentially life-threatening complications, especially in vulnerable populations such as infants, elderly individuals, or those with compromised immune systems. 2. Malaria, when not promptly treated, can result in severe complications such as organ failure, cerebral malaria (affecting the brain), or severe anemia. In some cases, untreated malaria can be fatal, particularly in young children and individuals without access to proper medical care. 3. Perineal candidiasis, if untreated, may lead to chronic discomfort and pain in the affected area. The infection can worsen, spreading to other parts of the body, especially in individuals with weakened immune systems. Additionally, recurrent candidiasis can affect quality of life and cause significant psychological distress due to its persistent and recurring nature. Prompt medical treatment is crucial to manage symptoms and prevent complications.
