When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

1. Anaemia 2. UTI 3. Mild Dysentery 4. Malaria + Enteric fever Anaemia is a condition where the body lacks enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen, causing weakness, tiredness, and pale skin. Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is an infection in the urinary system (bladder, kidneys, or urethra) that causes pain during urination, frequent urge to urinate, and sometimes fever. Mild Dysentery is intestinal infection causing diarrhea with mucus or blood, along with stomach pain and cramping. Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites spread through mosquito bites, leading to fever, chills, and body pain. Enteric fever (like typhoid) is a serious bacterial infection causing high fever, weakness, stomach pain, and diarrhea.

Background
Musa Modu is an 11-year-old boy from a small community in Nigeria. He lives with his father and has faced many struggles, especially after losing his mother when he was very young. Despite these challenges, Musa is a kind and hopeful child who dreams of becoming a doctor one day. In 2022, Musa started having severe pain on his right side. Doctors at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital found that he had Kidney Stones, and he had to undergo surgery. Sadly, after the surgery, Musa’s health got worse. He became very weak and developed Anaemia, frequent Urinary Infections (UTI), mild Dysentery, and was often sick with Malaria and Typhoid. Because of his health, Musa hasn’t been able to go back to school. But even with all he’s been through, he still holds on to hope. He wants to get better, return to school, and live a happy life. When they heard of Helpster Charity, he was brought to the hospital for treatment. On presentation, he was evaluated and diagnosed with Anemia, Urinary Tract Infection, Malaria, and Enteric Fever. He reuires urgent medical treatment.
Medical history
Musa Modu battled multiple illnesses — anaemia, urinary tract infection, mild dysentery, and a combination of malaria with enteric fever. Despite receiving treatment, including a blood transfusion, his condition worsened and he sadly passed away. In his moment of grief, Musa’s father expressed deep gratitude to Helpster for standing by their side, providing medical support, and easing their burden up until Musa’s final moments.
Prognosis
The prognosis for the combined conditions of anemia, UTI, mild dysentery, and malaria with enteric fever is dependent on several factors, including the severity of each condition, the patient's overall health, and promptness of treatment. While most UTIs and mild dysentery are manageable, the combination of anemia, malaria, and enteric fever in the case of Musa Modu can be serious and require careful management to improve the outlook.
