Background
Abubakar is a 5 years old boy who, like many children, enjoys watching cartoons. He was presented to U.M.D Medical Clinic with the complaints of progressive abdominal swelling, vomiting and colicky abdominal pain which started about 1 week ago.
Medical history
A case of Acute Abdomen secondary to Typhoid perforation was admitted for surgery on 06th July, 2023. Surgery conducted successfully, patient had his post operation treatment and was discharged home on 18th July, 2023. Prognosis
An urgent surgery is required, otherwise the symptoms will persist and worsen, with a risk of a progressively developing inflammation.
