Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Najmul is a 10-year-old boy who lives happily with his mother, brother, and grandmother in a humble tin-shed house. Despite being an introvert, he finds joy in drawing, but his world turned upside down when he suddenly experienced severe abdominal pain, accompanied by nausea and vomiting. After seeking treatment at a nearby hospital without relief, his mother, Shiuly Begum, a dedicated nurse, brought him to Narayanganj Poly Clinic, where he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and urgently needs an appendectomy. Unfortunately, the family's financial situation is dire; Shiuly's modest income as a nurse is barely enough to cover their daily expenses, leaving no room for unexpected medical costs. With mounting bills and limited resources, they are unable to afford the necessary treatment for Najmul. With hope in their hearts, they learned about Helpster Charity from another patient and are now reaching out for your support. Your generosity can make a life-changing difference for this brave young boy and his family as Najmul tries to muster a smile through his pain, dreaming of a healthier future.
Medical history
Najmul was diagnosed with acute appendicitis, presenting with severe abdominal pain and vomiting, which necessitated an emergency appendectomy. The surgery was complicated by significant adhesions between the abdominal structures, but the skilled team at Narayanganj Polyclinic successfully removed the inflamed appendix. Following the operation, Najmul made a smooth recovery and is now back to his normal life, much to the relief of his family. His parents expressed their gratitude, saying, "The weight of the world has been lifted off our shoulders; we can finally return to our normal lives." They extended a heartfelt thank you to the Helpster Heroes and the Narayanganj Polyclinic Team for their exceptional care and support during this challenging time.
Prognosis
If Najmul's appendicitis is not treated promptly, it could lead to serious complications, the most severe being a ruptured appendix. A rupture releases bacteria into the abdomen, potentially causing a life-threatening infection known as peritonitis, and may also result in the formation of an abscess. The standard treatment for appendicitis is an appendectomy, which is crucial to prevent these dangerous outcomes and ensure the patient's health and safety.
