Background
David is an 18-year-old young adult, the first one of the family he has three siblings is father produce paint in small scale and his mother is a teacher in a private school. David is a good boy good character and a love to be a lawyer and is a secondary school graduate. The patient has been having recurrent abdominal pain for the past three months. He was placed on Tab Hyoscine, Flagyl at home until pain got worse on the 20th of February 2025. The patient was unable to stand erect and this was associated with vomiting, fever and headache. When he presented at the hospital, he was examined and found to have a severe tenderness on the right iliac fossa with rebound tenderness.
Medical history
Osiba David was diagnosed with Acute Appendicitis and admitted upon Helpster's approval for the surgery. The surgery was successfully done with no complications. His recovered and could resume his activities with joy. his parents were happy and grateful.
Prognosis
If appendicitis is not treated, it can lead to serious complications, the most severe being a ruptured appendix. When the appendix ruptures, it releases bacteria into the abdomen, potentially leading to a serious infection called peritonitis, which can be life-threatening. An abscess, which is a pocket of infection, may also form. Treatment for appendicitis usually involves surgery to remove the appendix, a procedure known as an appendectomy.
