Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Pneumonia and sepsis are the bacterial infection in the lungs and blood respectively. They are both treated with strong antibiotics to prevent reoccurrence since most bacteria are very stubborn to clear in the blood.

Background
Joy, who lives with her aunt and siblings, likes playing handball and hide and seek with her friends. Despite the challenges surrounding her, she is determined to become a doctor in the future. The family relies on menial jobs around the village to earn a living. Joy was quite ill when she was brought to the hospital. She presented with a cough, headache, chest pain and difficulty in breathing. The symptoms had begun three days ago and her guardian gave her analgesics, hoping that she would get better. The following day, she got worse and she was taken to the nearby government dispensary where after the nurse examined her, she, the nurse, wrote down some medication which Joy's aunt was to go and purchase. Joy's aunt did not have any money and therefore went back home. Joy worsened. Her aunt went to the chairperson of their church who informed her about Helpster Charity and referred her to God's Favour Medical Clinic
