When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites transmitted through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes, primarily prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions. It's preventable and curable with prompt diagnosis and treatment, with symptoms including fever while Pneumonia is an infection of one or both of the lungs caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. It is a serious infection in which the air sacs fill with pus and other liquid.

Background
Kaylan is an only child, a one-year-old boy who lives with his mother in a small two-room house. His mother works as a housemaid, earning approximately KSh 2,000 per month. They rely heavily on her employer for food, and if none is provided, they often go without. Despite their challenges, Kaylan is a lively and cheerful boy. A day before seeking medical help, Kaylan developed a cough and chest congestion. His mother suspected an upper respiratory tract infection and, following advice from her employer, purchased Septrin from a nearby chemist. However, Kaylan’s condition did not improve, prompting his mother to take him to Bokoli Sub-County Hospital. Upon arrival, she did not have the financial means to pay for treatment. Kaylan presented with symptoms of cough, chest congestion, rapid breathing, and a high fever of 39.9°C. Laboratory tests confirmed a diagnosis of malaria and pneumonia. He was admitted for inpatient care and stayed in the hospital for two days.

Kaylan was diagnosed with malaria and pneumonia,he was admitted and treated with anti- malarial drugs and antibiotics,during check up call i heard a joyful and active as usual and this was his mothers message," my son is now ok and am greatfull and humble for the great organisation Helpster Charity helping my son to get best medication ever upto now he has shown great improvenment,Thank you helpster heroes for saving my only son".

Prognosis is good. The malaria illness was treated early enough before it led to complications
