Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About malaria and rti
Malaria is caused by parasites spread through mosquito bites, leading to fever and chills. Respiratory Track Infections affect the airways and lungs, causing symptoms like cough and soar throat and difficulty in breathing.

Background
Maimuna is a 6-year-old girl among 5 siblings living with her parent in the busy area of Bauchi, Bauchi State. Despite being from poor family, she finds joy in helping her parent and taking care of her younger ones. Mainuna is yet to be enrolled into school, but she hopes to join the government school in her area. Maimuna experienced high fever, headache, and body weakness. Alongside these, she also had persistent cough, sore throat, nasal congestion, and difficulty breathing. These signs worsened over time, prompting her parent to seek medical help at Albishir Hospital under Helpster programme. On presentation, she was evaluated and diagnosed with Respiratory Tract Infection and Malaria.
Medical history
Maimuna was taken to the Hospital under Helpster care. After investigation and findings, drugs were administered to her. She has now recovered and thank Helpster for supporting her in paying her medical bills
Prognosis
Malaria and RTI are life threatening sicknesses. They generally have good prognosis with early treatment. However, when left untreated, it can lead to complications and death.
