Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Malaria and lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) combined can cause high fever, chills, sweating, body weakness, cough, fast breathing, chest discomfort, and poor feeding, especially in young children. This combination can quickly become severe and needs urgent medical attention.

Background
Parhina is a sweet 2-year-old girl living with her parents in a small community in Bauchi. She’s full of curiosity and loves to explore her surroundings. Her family, though facing daily struggles, are devoted to giving her a loving and caring home. She first showed signs of illness with a high fever and chills, making her sleepy and weak. Soon after, she developed a cough, a runny nose, and rapid breathing, which made her restless and less interested in playing or eating. They heard of Helpster and resorted for medical help. On presentation at our hospital, she was evaluated and diagnosed with malaria and lower respiratory tract infection.
Medical history
Parhina came to Albisbir Hospital with symptoms of Malaria and a Lower Respiratory Tract Infection. Thanks to the support from Helpster Charity, she began treatment right away with the necessary medications. Her response to the treatment was positive, and within a few days, her health improved significantly. Parhina has since made a full recovery and is now back to good health.
Prognosis
With prompt treatment, recovery is likely. Without treatment, the combined illness can lead to severe complications or death, especially in young children. Early care is critical.
