Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Grace Iliya is a 7 year old girl from Bauchi State, Nigeria. She lives with her unemployed father and two siblings in a modest one room home. Grace remains a bright and hopeful child known for her creativity and determination, she teaches herself to read and write at home using her brother’s school materials. The family is having experiencing serious financial difficulty. Five years ago, Grace was a lively and energetic young girl, full of dreams and laughter. But suddenly, her health began to decline. What started as a minor illness gradually worsened. She lost weight, her energy faded, and her vibrant spirit dimmed. Her father, deeply worried, took her to the nearest hospital, hoping for answers and relief. Despite their efforts, Grace’s condition continued to deteriorate. The family, overwhelmed with fear and financial strain, sought help wherever they could until they were told of Helpster Charity. The economic condition made it difficult for the child to receive adequate nutrition. After evaluation and assessment, the child was diagnosed with Malnutrition, Malaria, and Anemia. These are serious health conditions and can result to severe complications for the young child.
Medical history
Grace was brought to Albisbir Hospital in a weakened state and diagnosed with Anaemia, Malnutrition, and Malaria. With support from Helpster Charity, she received a comprehensive treatment plan including antimalarial drugs, nutritional support, and iron supplements. Over time, her strength returned, and her condition improved steadily. Grace has now fully recovered and continues to gain weight and energy.
Prognosis
If Grace Iliya is not treated early with good nutrients, iron supplements and antimalarial drugs, her status can lead to severe complication and possibly untimely death.
