Shuaibu A., 6

Suibu Aliyu is a 6-year-old boy living with his parents in Bauchi, Nigeria. He attends a local public school and enjoys learning, drawing, and listening to stories. Despite his family’s limited means, Suibu is full of energy, hope, and dreams for a brighter future. One chilly morning, Suibu Aliyu woke up with a high fever and a persistent cough. His mother noticed he was weak and breathing heavily. Worried, she wrapped him in a shawl and took him to a nearby clinic. After an examination, the health worker gave them medicine and instructions for care. Despite that, his temperature did not reduce until he was taken to Albishir Hospital under Helpster care. He was evaluated and diagnosed with Respiratory Tract Infection and Malaria.

Shuibu was unwell with high fever and a persistent cough when he was taken to Albisbir Hospital. After being diagnosed with Malaria and a Respiratory Tract Infection, he was placed on treatment supported by Helpster Charity. Within days, his strength began to return, and his symptoms eased. Shuibu recovered fully and was discharged in good health.

With timely treatment, children with malaria and upper respiratory infections usually recover fully. If untreated, malaria can become severe and life-threatening, while respiratory infections may worsen and lead to complications like pneumonia. Early care greatly improves the chances of a full recovery.
