Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About malaria and pneumonia
Malaria is a disease caused by parasites spread through infected mosquito bites, leading to fever, chills, and sometimes severe complications. Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs, causing cough, difficulty breathing, and fever.

Background
Shamsiya is a 2 year old girl, the second child among three siblings. She lives with her family in Bauchi, Nigeria, where she helps care for her younger brother, Yusuf, and plays with her older sibling. Despite the family’s financial struggles, Shamsiya’s cheerful spirit brings joy and warmth to their small home. She is the second child among three children. Shamsiya began feeling sick with a high fever, chills, and body weakness. Soon, she developed a deep cough, chest pain, and difficult breathing. Her worried parents, unable to afford treatment, turned to Helpster Charity for support. With their help, Shamsiya was taken to a clinic for urgent medical care. At the hospital, she was evaluated and diagnosed with Malaria and Pneumonia
Medical history
Shasiya was admitted to Albisbir Hospital with high fever, difficulty breathing, and general weakness. She was diagnosed with Malaria and Pneumonia. With the support of Helpster Charity, she received prompt treatment with antimalarial drugs, antibiotics, and supportive care. Her condition steadily improved, and she made a full recovery.
Prognosis
Early diagnosis and treatment with the appropriate medications generally result in a good recovery. However, if both conditions are severe, especially in vulnerable individuals, the prognosis worsens, leading to complications like respiratory failure or organ failure. In chronic or complicated cases, prolonged illness and respiratory issues may occur. With prompt treatment, the outlook improves, but severe cases require intensive care and carry a higher risk of mortality.
