When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the transparent membrane that lines the eyelid and eyeball. It causes the small blood vessels in the conjunctiva to become swollen and irritated. It is majorly caused by viruses, bacteria, allergies, a chemical splash to the eyes, foreign body. It then presents with redness of the eyes, itchiness of the eyes,tearing,photophobia,discharging of the eyes. Gastroenteritis is inflammation of the stomach and intestines, typically causing symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. It's often caused by infections with viruses, bacteria, or parasites, but can also result from ingesting chemicals, toxins, or certain medications. Malaria is a potentially life-threatening, mosquito-borne disease caused by parasitic protozoa of the genus Plasmodium. It is transmitted to humans through the bites of infected Anopheles mosquitoes. Malaria is particularly prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions.

Background
Faith is a three-year-old girl who was born into an abandoned and needy household. After her mother left, her grandmother took on the responsibility of caring for her and her younger brother. They reside near a dumping site. Faith is a quiet and polite child who enjoys smiling and running around. Since birth, Faith has struggled with eye problems, and for the past three months, she has also suffered from itchy skin rashes. Additionally, she has experienced intermittent fever and coughing over the past month. Despite receiving home treatment, her condition did not improve. A Community Health Worker intervened and brought her to the hospital. After a thorough examination and necessary investigations, she received treatment and medication and was subsequently discharged to continue her recovery at home.
Medical history
Faith presented to the hospital with discomfort in the eyes. She had also had episodes of coughing and rashes on her skin. Tests revealed she was suffering from conjunctivitis, gastroenteritis, and malaria. She was treated in the outpatient department and discharged with oral medications to take at home. Her grandmother during an interaction with a nurse from the hospital, revealed that Faith was doing okay, and was no longer rubbing her eyes as before, and she was no longer coughing.
Prognosis
The prognosis is good. Faith was given the best care
