Background

The couple is terrified, knowing that without this operation, she is at high risk of a uterine rupture, a catastrophic event that would tragically end her life and that of their unborn child. Their two young children are too little to understand the danger, but their parents' worry is constant as they face the impossible choice between survival and an unaffordable medical procedure.
Medical history
Shazada Khatun was admitted to the hospital on July 16, 2025, for an emergency Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) due to her high-risk pregnancy. The operation was performed on the same day, preventing a potential uterine rupture and ensuring a safe delivery for both mother and child. Following the successful surgery, she and her baby recovered without complications. Both were discharged in stable and good health on July 20, 2025.
Prognosis
An emergency C-section is absolutely critical for Shazada and her baby's survival. Without this urgent surgery, the risks of a uterine rupture along her previous C-section scars are dangerously high, a catastrophic event that could lead to severe hemorrhage and the tragic death of both mother and child. Furthermore, the decreased fetal movement indicates that the baby is already in distress and may be suffering from a lack of oxygen or other complications. A timely C-section will not only prevent these fatal outcomes but also ensure the safe delivery of the baby, providing both a chance for a healthy life.
