When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

An inguinal hernia is a condition in which a portion of the intestine or abdominal tissue protrudes through a weakened or torn area in the lower abdominal wall, typically in the groin area. A person with an inguinal hernia typically experiences a noticeable bulge or lump in the groin area. This bulge can be painful or uncomfortable, especially when lifting, coughing, or straining. Some individuals might also feel aching or burning sensations around the hernia. In certain cases, the hernia can lead to symptoms like groin pain, a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen, and discomfort.

Background
A 19-year-old boy from poor family living in bulunkutu sallake with his mother and his 3 sisters, Abdullah was a tailor and very friendly boy, he is the last born of the family of 4 and the only boy in the family. Abdullah is working hard always in other to help his beloved mother and his sister to get what they can survive with. Abdullah a lively and happy boy, was apparently doing well until 4 years ago when he discovered a scrotal swelling that failed to reduce. Few months later, he also noticed that the swelling is increasing and is becoming bigger, and he quickly informed his parent. His parent took him to government facility where he was first diagnosed but didn't have enough money to cover the cost of treatment and consequently, returned back home. Recently, they heard about Helpster charity through their religious leader in their slum and they brought him to UMD medical clinic for treatment. He was examined, investigated and diagnosed with Inguinal Hernia. Awaiting Helpster approval for surgery to fix the defect and to make his life better.
Medical history
Abdullah is a 19-year-old boy who was diagnosed with scrotal hernia. He was admitted and prepared for surgery. Surgery was done successfully and there were no complications. The child felt much better and was discharged home with the parents. They were happy and grateful to Helpster for the free surgery.
Prognosis
If right untreated, inguinal hernias can lead to complications such as bowel obstruction, strangulation (where blood supply to the herniated tissue is cut off), and significant pain or discomfort. Surgery is the most common treatment for inguinal hernias to repair the weakened area and prevent these potential complications.
