Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Nadifa is a cheerful 6-year-old girl who lives with her parents and younger sister. As a first-grade student, she loves playing badminton with her friends and enjoys visiting her relatives with her father. Unfortunately, Nadifa has been suffering from chronic recurrent tonsillitis, which has significantly affected her quality of life. She experiences constant pain, difficulty breathing, and struggles to eat and sleep properly due to her condition. Her father is the sole breadwinner in the family, earning only 4000 taka a month as a rickshaw puller, making it difficult to afford the necessary surgery for Nadifa's condition. The doctor has advised that an urgent operation is essential for her to overcome this illness and lead a healthier, happier life. Your support can help Nadifa receive the treatment she desperately needs, allowing her to return to playing and enjoying her childhood.

Medical history

Nadifa suffered from chronic tonsillitis that caused her intense throat pain, high fever, and swollen tonsils almost every month. She had trouble swallowing both food and liquids, which led to weight loss and weakness. The constant discomfort made it hard for her to sleep at night, and she frequently missed school due to illness. Her immune system seemed weakened, as she caught colds and infections very easily. After a successful tonsillectomy, Nadifa is now recovering well. She and her parents are deeply grateful to the Helpster Donors and Narayanganj Polyclinic for their generous support, as the family could not afford the surgery on their own.

Prognosis

The patient frequently suffers from coughs, colds, sore throats, and fevers, and sometimes has difficulty breathing. The patient's swollen tonsils and adenoids are causing significant issues. Without surgery to remove them, known as adenotonsillectomy, the patient risks developing severe respiratory infections that could lead to long-term health complications.
