Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About emergency care

Thyroiditis is inflammation of the thyroid gland, and if left untreated, it can lead to serious complications such as permanent damage to the gland, resulting in hypothyroidism. This condition may cause symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, and sensitivity to cold. In severe cases, untreated thyroiditis can lead to myxedema coma, a life-threatening condition requiring immediate medical attention.

Background

Rimi, a young girl from a struggling family, has been enduring severe sore throat, shortness of breath, and hormonal issues for an extended period. Her father, Arafat, is the sole breadwinner of the family, earning only 7,000 taka a month from his small tea stall, which barely covers their basic needs. After numerous visits to the doctor and ongoing medication that failed to improve her condition, Rimi was finally diagnosed with thyroid problems and advised to undergo surgery for proper treatment. Unfortunately, the family's financial constraints make it impossible for them to afford the necessary procedure. Rimi's health continues to decline without surgery, leaving her family desperate for help. They are reaching out to compassionate donors who can provide support and give Rimi a chance at a healthier life.
