Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Buhari is a 2-year-old boy and the 3rd born to family of 4. About four months ago his parent noticed scrotal swelling that failed to reduce, and the swelling is increasing in size and there is intermittent pain. He was Clinically evaluated and diagnosed with Hydrocele. About 4 months ago his mother discovered a scrotal swelling which was initially small in size but continues to increase to its present size causing pain, discomfort and feeling of heaviness. He was brought to UMD to seek for treatment. Clinically examined and was found to have Hydrocele which can be fixed via surgery upon approval by HELPSTER CHARITY.

Medical history

Buhari is a 2-year-old boy who was diagnosed with scrotal hernia. He was admitted and prepared for surgery. Surgery was done successfully and there were no complications. The child felt much better and was discharged home with the parents. They were happy and grateful to Helpster for the free surgery.

Prognosis

The persistent presence of a hydrocele can cause ongoing discomfort, heaviness, or a feeling of fullness in the scrotum. Although hydroceles are not typically associated with infections, untreated ones may become prone to infections, which can result in pain and complications. Larger hydroceles can interfere with activities like walking or participating in sports due to the added weight and size of the swollen scrotum. Surgical removal of the hydrocele sac is the most effective and permanent treatment for hydrocele. It is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local or general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision in the scrotum, drains the fluid, and removes the sac.
