About bilharzia, uti, and malaria
Bilharzia, UTI, and malaria are infections that can severely affect the body, especially when combined. Bilharzia (schistosomiasis) is caused by parasites from contaminated water and affects the urinary system. A urinary tract infection (UTI) causes pain during urination and discomfort in the lower abdomen. Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease that leads to fever, chills, and weakness. Together, these infections can cause serious health issues, especially in children without access to proper medical care.

Background
Jibrin is 13 years old and the eldest of three children, living with his parents in Bauchi. Coming from a poor family, he faces many challenges, including limited access to basic needs. Due to transportation difficulties, he attends a junior secondary school close to his home. Despite these hardships, Jibrin remains focused and determined. He dreams of becoming a lawyer one day, hoping to stand up for justice and help others in his community. Jibrin began showing signs of illness with fever, stomach pain, painful urination, and blood in his urine. His parents first took him to a local chemist, but the drugs given had no effect. As his condition worsened and he grew too weak to attend school, they sought proper medical care which prompted to visit Albishir. At Albishir clinic, he was evaluated and diagnosed with Bilharzia, Urinary Tract Infections, and Malaria.
Medical history
Jibrin is 13 years old. He visited Albishir hospital with symptoms of malaria as well as general body pains. Helpster Charity supported his medical bills and medications for Malaria, Bilharzia and UTI. Antimalarial drugs, medications for UTI and Bilharzia were prescribed and other supportive care was given. Soon he started to regain his strength, no more body pains, he is happy with his recovery. After some days he was fully recovered and discharged.
Prognosis
When diagnosed early and properly treated, the prognosis for combined bilharzia, UTI, and malaria is generally good. Most patients recover fully with the right medications and supportive care. However, if left untreated, these infections can lead to serious complications such as kidney damage, chronic fatigue, anemia, or even organ failure. Timely medical intervention is crucial, especially for children, to prevent long-term health problems and ensure full recovery.
