Cataract is a clouding of the lens inside the eye, which causes blurry vision and can make it difficult to see clearly. If not treated, cataracts can lead to complete blindness, making it impossible for a person to see anything. This can severely affect daily life, independence, and quality of life, and in some cases, blindness may become permanent if not treated in time.

Background
Mohammad is a lively 7-month-old boy who lives with his parents and grandparents in a small, poor house. His father, Mohammad Jahid, is a lawyer assistant earning only 10,000 Taka a month, which barely covers their basic needs like food and electricity. Mohammad’s family is very worried because he cannot see clearly, and his vision keeps getting worse every day. The doctors at Mazharul Eye Hospital diagnosed him with cataracts in both eyes and performed the first part of surgery, but he still needs an interocular lens implant to save his sight. The family cannot afford the expensive surgery and is desperate for help. Shamim told them about Helpster Charity, and now they are hopeful that kind donors can support Mohammad’s treatment and give him a chance to see clearly again.
Medical history
Mohammad Adib was diagnosed with cataract in his right eye, which severely affected his ability to see and required urgent surgical intervention. He underwent cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation under general anesthesia, performed by Dr. Md. Rashedur Rahman Talukder, Senior Consultant of the hospital. The treatment was successful, and his visual acuity has significantly improved. Now, Adib can see clearly through his right eye and is actively responding to his surroundings. Heartfelt thanks to Helpster Charity and the kind Helpster Heroes for helping Adib regain his precious vision. Parents Comments after Treatment: Tamanna Akter, the mother of little Mohammad Adib, expresses her heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity for their kind support in her son’s cataract surgery. She shared how helpless they felt due to financial hardship and how the timely assistance from Helpster gave her child a new chance to see the world. "Without your support, we could never afford this treatment. Now, seeing my son smile and respond with his clear vision is a joy beyond words," she said with deep emotion. Prognosis
Mohammad suffers from Cataract, his vision is blurred. Mohammad needs urgent surgery with general anesthesia and influent interocular lens. If not treated, Mohammad can go blind.
