Mohammad is a 4-year-old boy with Down syndrome who urgently needs cataract surgery in his right eye to prevent permanent blindness. His mother, a housemaid earning only 5000 Taka per month, is the sole provider for Mohammad, his two siblings, and their grandmother, while his father has passed away. Due to their very limited income, the family cannot afford the costly surgery or find free treatment elsewhere. Mohammad is a sweet but vulnerable child who struggles with his vision daily, making him prone to falls and injuries. Without timely surgery, Mohammad risks losing his eyesight completely, which would further limit his ability to learn and live safely.

Md Tawhid, a 4-year-old child, required treatment due to a cataract in his right eye that significantly impaired his vision. Cataract surgery was performed under general anesthesia by Dr. Md. Rashedur Rahman Talukder, Senior Consultant of the Hospital, with the successful implantation of an intraocular lens. The surgery went smoothly, and the treatment progressed as expected without complications. As a result, Md Tawhid’s visual acuity has significantly improved, and he can now see clearly through his right eye.
