About urology
Hypospadias is a common variation in fetal development of the male genital organ in which the urethra does not open from its usual location on the head of the male organ. Meatal stenosis is an abnormal narrowing of the urethral opening (meatus). If the narrowing becomes significant, urine will trouble flowing from the bladder and may cause the bladder to not empty completely. This can lead to recurrent urinary infections, bladder damage, and in severe cases, kidney problems due to urine retention and backflow.

Background
Raj is an 8-year-old boy living in a poor family with his parents and two brothers. His father is a farmer, and his mother is a housewife; whatever they earn is spent on food and electricity, leaving little or nothing for medical expenses. Since birth, he has been experiencing problems with urination, including pain, swelling, and thin, dribbling urine due to hypospadias with mild chordee. The necessary treatment is surgery, which must be done promptly to prevent further complications as he grows older. His family’s financial situation has left them in debt, making it impossible for them to afford the surgery, and they are very worried about his health and future.
Medical history
Raj Hossen had been experiencing difficulty urinating properly since birth, with thin, dribbling urine that caused pain and swelling. The doctor diagnosed him with hypospadias and mild chordee, which required surgical correction. Without this treatment, he could have faced ongoing urinary problems, infections, or more serious complications. His surgery was successful, and he is now feeling better; it will take about two weeks for him to return to his normal life. Raj Hossen's family is very thankful to Helpster Charity, Dr. Arif, and RUDO Hospital for their prompt and expert care that prevented potential serious health issues, and they are very happy with his recovery.
Prognosis
Raj is suffering from hypospadias with chordee and meatal stenosis, which are causing him pain and difficulty urinating properly. He requires urgent surgical intervention to correct these conditions and prevent further complications. If left untreated, his condition can lead to recurrent urinary tract infections, bladder damage, and potential kidney problems due to urine retention and incomplete bladder emptying. Prompt surgery is essential to improve his quality of life and prevent long-term health issues.
