Background
Chondona is a 30-year-old woman living in a small tin house with her family. She has five family members: her husband Kartik, who is a fisherman earning about 7000 taka per month irregularly, and their three children - Chondona (11 years old and a student), Kumar (5 years old), and Choyon (2 years old). Chondona is pregnant and experiencing severe oligohydramnios, which has caused her to develop fetal distress. She is very worried because she needs an urgent cesarean section to save her and her baby, but her family’s income is barely enough for food, and they cannot afford the surgery. Despite their hardships, they are hopeful for help so that Chondona can have a safe delivery and their family can stay together.
Medical history
Chondona was diagnosed with oligohydramnios, which meant her amniotic fluid levels were dangerously low, risking fetal distress and other complications. The medical team closely monitored her condition and decided that an urgent cesarean section was necessary to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. The surgery was performed promptly, and both mother and baby are now healthy and stable.
