Waris is the first child of the family of 6, his father is a mechanic and his mother sells stationeries and his family income par mouth is 40,000. Waris is a good boy and he likes playing football and his dreams is to be police officer. They all live together in 1-room rented apartment. He was well until 6-years-ago, when he developed a swelling in his scrotum. The swelling started small but gradually increased in size with associated with occasional pain. He presented to our facility, after evaluation, he was diagnosed with Left Hydrocele and booked for Hydrocelectomy.

Waris underwent hydrocelectomy for the treatment of a hydrocele. The surgery was successful with an excellent prognosis. He has since been discharged and is now home, living a healthier and better quality of life.

The persistent presence of a hydrocele can cause ongoing discomfort, heaviness, or a feeling of fullness in the scrotum. Although hydroceles are not typically associated with infections, untreated ones may become prone to infections, which can result in pain and complications. Larger hydroceles can interfere with activities like walking or participating in sports due to the added weight and size of the swollen scrotum. Surgical removal of the hydrocele sac is the most effective and permanent treatment for hydrocele. It is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local or general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision in the scrotum, drains the fluid, and removes the sac.
