Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections

Tonsillitis is an inflammation of the tonsils that causes pain on swallowing and can lead to upper respiratory tract infection. If not treated, it can result in complications such as abscess formation, difficulty breathing, spread of infection to other parts of the body, or even more serious conditions like rheumatic fever or kidney problems.

Background

Rashadul is a talented 13-year-old student who loves studying, playing sports, and cycling, but he has been suffering from sore throat, cold, cough, and fever since he was six years old. His condition has worsened, and now he is vomiting with severe sore throat, which requires urgent surgery for chronic tonsillitis. His family is extremely poor; his mother works hard to support her children but cannot afford the cost of the operation. Rashadul’s father has been absent in their lives and does not provide any support. After learning about Helpster Charity from relatives, his mother came to RUDO Hospital seeking help so her son can get the life-saving surgery he needs to recover and return to a healthy, active life.

Medical history

Rashadul Hasan has been suffering from sore throat, swollen tonsils, cold, cough, and fever since he was 6 years old. After a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed him with chronic tonsillitis and recommended a tonsillectomy to relieve his symptoms. The surgery was performed successfully, with the surgeon carefully removing his tonsils through his mouth using a special instrument; there was a small amount of bleeding, but it was quickly controlled. Now, Rashadul is feeling much better and has returned to his normal activities. His parents and he are very grateful to Helpster Heroes and the RUDO hospital for their expert care and support throughout his treatment.

Prognosis

Rashadul's enlarged tonsils are trapping bacteria and viruses, causing recurrent infections and severe symptoms like vomiting and pain, which necessitate an urgent adenotonsillectomy to prevent further complications. If not treated, his condition could worsen, leading to airway obstruction, difficulty breathing, spread of infection to other parts of the body, or more serious health issues.
